Seoul has plenty to offer. One of my favorite escapes is the Han River. With miles and miles of bike paths, pools, and parks offering Seoullites plenty of open spaces to party and carry-on in the summer. One of the most relaxing experiences takes place on the river itself. That’s right – a river cruise. The cruise is about an hour and goes either in two circular paths around the Jamsil or Yeouido areas. Another option allows passengers to take a one-way trip from Jamsil to Yeouido.

Prices are fairly cheap (W11-15,000 per adult), so it makes for a add-on for a trip to the river. When in the area at night, several evening programs come alive with food, music, and even magic.

This photo was taken after the cruise, before we went to dinner. The big dog could not wait to make a new friend!

  1. eh, I took this cruise my first year in seoul. We didn’t have any on board entertainment and I didn’t feel that I saw anything special on the one hour trip. We took off from the Yeoido port, went up the river, turned around and came back. If I were going to choose between walking and the cruise, I’d say choose the walk, hands down..

    • I think it just depends on what you’re looking for on the trip. Having music or magic- or even one of the food trips would certainly be a plus. However, if you just want to sit and chill and see some of the city, I can’t think of a better way to achieve this. Personally, I’d prefer to rent one of those jet skis and make own express tour!

Thanks for the comment and insight!
